Medgram for Cerner: Clinical Tools Alongside Your EHR
Medgram runs alongside Cerner in the browser — no integration required, no IT approval needed. Here's how it works.
How Medgram works with Cerner
Cerner is a web-based EHR. When you open Cerner in Chrome, Edge, or Brave, the Medgram browser extension opens a side panel alongside it. The side panel provides access to Clinical Scribe, Clinical Answers, Note Generator, Patient Education, and other clinical tools — all without modifying Cerner.
The extension runs in the browser, not in Cerner. This means it does not require hospital IT integration, does not modify the EHR, and does not access patient data without your consent. You use the tools alongside Cerner, review the results, and decide what enters the record.
What you can do
With Medgram alongside Cerner, you can:
• Generate a structured note from the encounter using Clinical Scribe • Answer a focused clinical question using Clinical Answers • Generate a patient education handout in multiple languages • Check drug interactions without leaving Cerner • Look up ICD-10 codes, lab reference ranges, and medical terms • Generate a differential diagnosis from presenting symptoms
All results are reviewed by you before entering Cerner. The extension never inserts content automatically.
Installation
The Medgram extension installs from the Chrome Web Store in one click. It works with Chrome, Edge, and Brave — any Chromium-based browser. Once installed, it opens automatically when you open Cerner (or any web-based EHR) in the browser. No IT ticket required.
